Meyer Lemon Martinis

What to do with a whole tree full of ripe Meyer lemons…?  Make Lemonade…or some variation there of.  So we have made many a beverage with lemon as a constant.  Meyer Lemon Martinis are super simple and very favorful…and go down a little too easy.

The mix is:

  • 1 oz. freshly squeezed Meyer Lemon Juice
  • 1 oz. simple syrup
  • 2 oz. Vodka (of your choice)

Throw those into a shaker with ice…shake until you can’t bear to hold the cold shaker any longer…and pour into chilled glasses.  Garnish with fresh lemon peel and serve.

Truly the only danger with these is a run-in with the tail of a to-remain-unnamed dog’s tail…resulting in a sticky spill on the coffee table!

  1. yummy 🙂
I juiced all of our Meyers and froze them in ice cube trays. I also froze the zest, but in retrospect it might have done nicely in some vodka…

    Love the new blog!

    • Thanks…I hope you don’t mind I put up a link to your blog. I think I’ll be juicing and freezing Meyer lemon juice this weekend as the large amount of fruit we’ve picked so far is beginning to go soft!
